Bio 
ABOUT MEI'm a singer-songwriter based in London. Originally from Wales, I've called London home for the past twelve years. I originally moved to the big smoke for one year in 1998 to study screenwriting but I ended up staying. I carved out a career in film and television but at the same time kept my hand in with my own projects, writing scripts, screenplays and making short films. I'm a born storyteller and all of my work has a strong narrative content. I've always had music in my life. I started playing piano at the tender age of 6 but it wasn't until I first came to London after having to leave my piano in Wales that I learned my first three chords on the guitar. This was enough to write my first song and I soon realised that I could tell stories through music. Before I knew it I had the beginings of an album in progress! I've been writing songs ever since but I didn't have the courage to perform them myself until I began a course in songwriting and performance three years ago. I was thrown into an amazing creative environment and was given a baptism of fire, being expected to perform new material on a weekly basis to fifteen other singer-songwriters. Luckily I took to it like a duck to water and with my new found confidence I got stuck in to London's open mic scene.In 2011 things really started to take off. I got a full band together and finished recording demos in the studio for my debut album. I'm very excited about how it's all shaping up. I also performed regularly as a two piece at acoustic nights and as a full band at many prestigious venues across London. I built up quite a following in 2011 so with the album ready to go and the band firmly in place I'm extremely excited about how 2012 is going to shape up.
